Just found this problem.
When I put the gear selector into "1" it doesnt go into first gear right
away. When it does, soon after while accelerating it shifts into 2nd.
when it upshifts into 2nd it does so with a little clunk, or thud.
Sometime it goes into 2nd then back into first randomly on my
short journey. but never out of 2nd.
Last time I needed it in the winter it worked perfectly. Now that I
just tried it, it's acting up.
Some of you may also remember from a thread I made months
ago that sometimes I get a Thud from 2nd-3rd shift at low revs....
ands its not a u-joint.( tranny x-member? still didnt figure it out). Not
sure if it would have any relation to these problems
Tranny has about 25k since it was rebuilt in the summer of '03
Is it possibly the t.v. cable or something out of adjustment? I really
dont know much about it other than from observing other threads.
The lever does have a little bit of play in it when in gear, compared
to my moms '94 blazer which is the same thing.
any help would be great! thanks!
