OK...im thinking about getting a new amp. Right now im rocking an MTX 4250D, and it pumps out 412rms. I dont want to go any bigger, this hurts my chest good enough. What would you recomend for my situation? around here i can get Rockford, Alpine, MTX, Pioneer, Concept, Fusion, Kicker...couple more brands too, cant think.
My deck is a JVC 1150 (4v preouts)

ebay doesnt require a credit card. not to mention if you pay with paypal, you can also use a bank account. a lot of sellers on ebay will take bank checks or money orders too!

One question. Why would you push 400WRMS to a sub this is only suppose to have 300WRMS??? Yeah it's ok and you might not ever have any problems but that too could lead to premature failure. I destroyed on of my L7's by abusing it with too high of wattage for and extended period of time.
Just because a sub says it can take 300WRMS is only part of the equation. Will it take this much in any box? Nope... If you match everything (amp, sub, box, wire and head unit) correctly then you'll have a bullet proof great sounding system that won't fail you.
I always like to put less watts on my subs just to help prevent damage. I didn't always do this, but now I do.

well i ended up with an MTX 4001 for my warrenty thing...the certificate says 509 RMS @ 2olms. and man oh man does it rock the hell out of the subs! MTX really under-rates their amps as far as RMS figures. the box says 400rms @2olms.
even my old 4250D was rated at 350rms...but it was tested at 412. im not complaining!
