I put some new pionnere's in the doors but becasue i put new infinity speakers in the dash you can barely hear the doors. is this becasue of their location or is something wrong. can i just run an amp to them?

not much you can really screw up when you put in door speakers. disconnect the dash and see how the doors sound alone. if your still not satisfied with how they sound, yes, you can amplify them.

I think i'm just going to buy some small tweeters of something to put up top behind me. alot easier then buying another amp and hookling it up... plus space is an issue

When you connected both the door speakers and the dash speakers, did you run them in parallel or series? What's the current ohm reistance with the way you have them wired? And what's the rated ohm resistance for your head unit?

i have no idea. haha i can't say off hand i would probably have to take the door off again. about series or parallel their just ran from the head unit to the speakers so what ever that would be i'm assuming parallel

first off dont go checkin wires until you made sure that you dont have them faded forward. and if its set to the center then fade it to the back to get some more response.

what do you mean crossed them?Crossed meaning you have the positive wire on the negative terminal and the negative wire on the positive terminal.Or the speakers just might not put out like the dash speakers do.

see i already checked that. i even hooked the dash speakers up to the door and the same problem. I had these speakers hooked up in my old car and they worked perfect. I tried switching both positive and negative and there was no change. any other problem this could be?

bad output on the cd player? if they are both having the same problem on the same wires that would be my guess. get a meter and check the voltage they are putting out.

what should the voltage be and what can i do if it's not the correct voltage? will the company take back the stereo or will it just be trash and i have to go buy another haha. I guess that deals with where i bought it and their return policy i guess. but what is the correct voltage?

How new is the head unit.

typically, 1-2 volts. some go up to 4. check the specs online with you decks specifications.

if your doing tweeters don't put them right in back of you. too close to your ear.
stick em to the wind shield in the top corners. their out of the way and you can hide the wires in the pannel that runs down to the dash and make it look clean. just make sure that the little converter on the wires can not touch any metal.
