Definitly a one of a kind model....i personally like the craftsmanship of the back of the intake a few pics down....nice little dent never hurt anything right!?!?!? Thought you guys might find this interesting, to say the least....
Was that a production model?
Never seen or heard of anything like that before, for thr 4.3 I mean
cool find!
edit: is that a modded syclone intake? lower portion

I don't know if I would spend $1600 for that. IMO, if you are trying to get that much for it, at least clean it up a bit.

Theres no way that was a production model. But its definitly a good idea, this guy just needs to refine his product and he'll have somethin, wonder what the boost is???

can you say home made? stock lower with a adapter plate to mate to a factory style blower. If your looking for a stock lower intake with injectores it's in front of your face.

I saw one like that on a 4.3l at the minitruckin' show in Pigeon Forge Tenn. 4 or 5 years ago. Look real sweet.

Yeah but it has some potential. The price is my issue with it.

Yeah no doubt. Fuel rail kinda scares me too.
No mention of what size injectors or required ecu programming for the injectors if they are larger.

I emailed the seller some questions like what brand is the S/C? and how many psi? this is what i got back...ever heard of a 98 bravada x-scape.
I do not know what the PSI is. There are no markings on the supercharger that indicate the brand so I could not look up the boost PSI. The supercharger came off of a 98 bravada x-scape.

If it came of that it's a very rare find. The X-Scape was a concept vehicle in 98.Here is a link to it.http://www.edmunds.com/news/autoshows/articles/42908/page013.html

Ok its fugly has heck and a lil hacked but!!! It has better injectors!! That alone with the s/c is worth money. Now the question is what is the max hp of the blower, and is there a better one?

Looks almost like a 3.8 S/C adapted. . . Dirty, overpriced, but interesting nonetheless.

Well the concept Bravada it came off was rated at 245hp.And I would almost bet it is a supercharger GM uses on one of it's vehicles. They always look for in house parts to build something.I like what Louie said sell the blower and keep the rest and use a REAL blower.I wonder how much boost it takes to make that 245hp.

Just under 5 PSI and its a M90 3.8 GM Eaton unit. Belongs to and X S-series member!

If that price wasn't so high "sense it's used" I would almost think about buying it.If it is a Eaton M90 getting parts for the blower in case of failure wouldn't be hard at all.And there are all kinds of aftermarket parts for those blowers.Bump that boost up to a healthy number and you would be making some decent power to the wheels.I'm gonna email him if it doesn't get any bids and see how much I can talk him down to.I mean look at it this way adding boost to it isn't a problem. And adding more fuel for that boost would be easy since you could use larger injectors. It could be cleaned up and looking great with little effort and wiring/plumbing could be straighten out and looking a lot nicer.I don't know I see a lot more potential for it than some wanna give it.

Very interesting indeed! It would be great to be good friends with one of the guys that does that sort of R&D for GM!
