I think I might have found a intake for 96 up 4.3's to be able to upgrade the injectors and that flows great. It is a mercury marine MPI intake. Here is a diagram of it and a web link to the sight.Look at were the injector bungs and rails go.Use the drop down window and go to intake and fuel rails. It lists the price of every piece of the intake seperately.http://www.sicgmtrucks.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=1452&stc=1

Cost is about $2,000 ....checked that about a year ago......unless you can find one in a boneyard.

Ive looked around for them as well. There is a guy who converts them to road use, I'll try to dig up the website. too bad its cast iron rather than cast aluminum. might as well adapt a edelbrock 2114.

would be good for forced but for N/A would flow the same as the stock.

That's the intake for a Mercruiser 4.3L. I looked into that about 2 years ago and it really won't flow all that much better than the one we've already got. The air flow will be about the same, even though the injectors are upgradeable. Also, no EGR allowance. Looked at it from every angle I could think of. Also, the main manifold itself is unavailable -- all the other parts, but not the main piece. Checked on parts -- those alone run about $1800 WITHOUT the upper and lower manifolds.
There were a couple other problems with it that I discovered, but since I discarded the idea, they seem to have left my memory (as so many things do these days).

I had a sight but can't find it that showed a aluminum lower and composite upper.I will try and find it.The big reason I liked it was being able to use larger injectors.I live on Lake Cumberland so there is a VERY large amount of boat sales and service and so on around here.So I called today and found one for 800 used as the complete assembly. To my surprise he said he has people coming in asking for them all the time.I told him I didn't need it just curious to know how hard it would be to get it.He said not to awful bad.He gets a few of them here and there frequently. So I guess it just depends on were ya live.

yeah we dug that up before i found afi and forwarded afi to super. i forgot about that, until i saw that some place else recently too.
afi was going to fix the location of the tb... the mercruiser suffers from the same flaws as the gm oem product
