orginaly i was aiming for a ZEX wet shot w/ 75hp jets and then i went online and looked at a couple of forums, and a bunch of people said to never get zex and only go w/ NOS, so what are you guys's take on all of this

lots of people say go with nos. they do have some of the best kits out there but nx provides kits equally as good. my friends sister ran nos and he ran nx. both like the results from both. so as for these two its just which one you want. edelbrock seems to have jumped in the game just because of the jump of n2o sales in the past couple years and zex seems kinda ricer to me.

nx is rated rwhp and nos is flywheel..

Does NX open only at WOT and does it have a ignition switch for the nitrous system...

I put the jets recommends by ZEX to gain 75hp in.... Slapped the truck on the dyno... Made some runs with out it... Then made some runs spraying... I averaged a 76rwhp gain. I don't think that's bad for NO tuning just plug and play so to speak.
I like the NX kits but I really like my ZEX kit because I just had to mount one box and hook up a few wires. No 'noids popping out every where.... No WOT switches to mount.
Some pics of my install....

Being an early user of nitrous (when N.O.S. was the only game in town) I have always used NOS. They're a little more conservative in their jetting, but that's OK by me. The dyno always gets the last word in anyway.
Louie is right, Jokers 75 shot is roughly equal to NOS's 100 shot. Keeping in mind anything over either of those on stock internals becomes questionable.
I believe it boils down to a matter of preference. Each kit has their own advantages and disadvantages. You'll want to do some studying up on each one.
Bottom line? End result is the same, x amount of N2O mixed with x amount of fuel increases HP x amount. No label changes that.

I can't agree with Sparky anymore on this!!
One big disadvantage to ZEX is that it is GD purple.... lol

Whoa! Yeah, lemme know 'bout that. I could lift both fronts with that kinda torque added.

Zex is nice kit. I have it hooked up the a MSD window switch. Never dyno yet but easy to hook up the wet kit with nice results. And if you dont like the purple you can paint it or get the bottle heater should cover most of it.
