Hey guys i was wondering was gears i should go with. I have a 99 4.3 blazer. I am going to install headers, a K&n, ngk plugs, tayolr wires and was wondering if i should go with 4.11 gears. Is there a certain brand that i need to buy or what gear size will be good and what brand. let me know what you guys think. Thanks a lot

i would go with 3.73 in the rear...good performance, and also keeps some milage

Id definately say go with some 3.73s or 3.50s. If you go with 4.11s and decide one day to get a s/c then youll have to change them again to a much higher gear ratio and youll be money behind on that deal. But as far as just gears Id go with the 3.73s as far as gas mileage cuz youll get alot of performance and still reatin a lil bit of gas mileage but I dont really care about gas mileage so I personally would go with the 4.11s just cuz youll come off the line so much faster. My dad has a SS silverado and it has 4.10s and AWD and I dont think Ive ever come off the line so quickly in my life. That truck takes so many stangs and camaros off the line but since its curb weight is alot more it gets beat in the long run. But none the less its fun to leave people at the line for even a split second. I say 4.11s.

i'm with HIM. those 4.10's were the best thing i have done to my truck....minus the cam. you already have 3.42's so going to 3.73 won't give you much. don't forget if it is 4wd you have to do the front too.

I picked up about .5 mpg going from 4.10's to 3.73's. The performance I lost was not worth a .5 mpg gain. Sorry I did it. But, I did get my Zexel back by doing it.

I'm still debating 4.10's. I need to get traction first though. If I can't hookd up with 3.42's then it's just going to get a lot worse with 4.10's. I need 3 more things for the truck... Gears, Traction Bars and Slicks.

So what's up with this pinion mounted ABS sensor?
