Went to the track tonight to try some (freebie) G60-15 McCreary dirt tires ~ 26x10. I went as low as 12 psi and could only muster a 2.09 60' and it felt loose at the stripe. Anybody ever played with these before?
Truck was running like poop, best ET was only 14.49 at 93 mph, DA was about 2200'. I was expecting to run about .2 sec quicker and 2 mph faster in this weather.
When I was driving home I remembered that this was the first time in a few yrs. that I ran it with the vac. advance hooked up. Removing the vac. advance was worth .2/2mph (few yrs. ago) but the distributor has been completely rebuilt since then (with a new vac. can as well).
Maybe I'm wrong but I think the vac. adv. is slowing me down.
