Looks like what Maximus found for boats. Very interesting.

i am pretty sure that these are designed to work on factory on the road vehicles...

yea, what maxie found there is much better because the injectors are upgradeable, but this is cheaper and you dont have to worry about an emmissions guy nitpicking...

I was at Lake Erie this past weekend, I should have checked the boat yards while I was up there

i already email them the suggestion of makeing poppet valves, both in factory flow and higher flow ratings. i figure if they get enough responses for that idea, they will have no choice but to make them. then we dont have to worry about waiting far an intake to be made, we jsut place an order thru them for an upper intake and xxlbs poppets...

I was lookin at an Eagle 4" crank assembly with H-beam rods and pistons all forged for about $2600. Seems there is very little machine work involved as far as clearancing just the std. honing and crap. Then I'm either gonna do the AFR's or maybe the Edelbrock heads when they come out (they are made in conjunction withe Lingenfelter they gotta be good). I'll probably run the LS6 intake and a ported TB to get it on the road until I can get a FAST 90mm intake and a 90mm TB. Not sure of the cam yet though.

AFR heads are the best heads on the market in my opinion.Especially on LS1/LS6 engines. They make more power than any other LS1 head does.Look at this dyno sheet for the mongoose street heads. LS1 Dyno Test

Baseline Engine: Stock LS-1 Longblock, LS-6 Intake Manifold, 1 3/4"
Headers-Long Tube Style, 3" Flowmaster Mufflers. *
VS
All Same As Above WithThe Exception Of: AFR LS-1 "205" CNC Heads, Fast
Intake Manifold, Cam-224/228 @.050 .581 Lift, 78mm Ported Throttle Body. *

AFR LS-1 "205" CNC Heads 530HP@6500 and 475lbft@4900
VS
Stock Heads 428HP@5700 and 432lbft@4700

*Compression Remained Stock for Both Tests.

Yeah right now, I wanna see what the Edels do. Did you know that the CNC ported LS6 heads from GM that were the shiznit 'till the AFR's came out were ported by LPE (Lingenfelter). If it's from them it's at least worth looking into. knowadImean?

LS6 heads stock and ported are great heads. The CNC S2 and S3 heads are some of the best out there. But I like those smaller 205cc runners on AFR heads that flow 300cfm.For stock LS1's this is a great head for flow and great port velocity.Alot heads have to large a cc runners that slow port velocity down to much.

In regards to the higher flowing intake, have you looked into the vortec 4300 industrial engine? If you find pics look at the upper intake, it has a fuel rail and external injectors.

Listen to what he's saying guys. That 10.18@132 pass I made in the Monte Carlo? 195cc Canfields. On a 383 w/ 12.5-1 compression. Think about it.

in regards to what the top of the intake looks like, mine 9the black plastic piece) is nothing more than a box, whereas this one has runers in it...
