I have got some questions regarding the MSD 6a ignition box,

First,
Do i need anything to install the MSD 6a box, or do i need brackets, harness, etc, that arent sold w/ the box

Second,
Can the MSD 6a Box work with the JBA spark plug wires (because i will be getting JBA headers sooner or later)

Third,
Is it hard or tricky to install on 2000+ blazer/s10

Everything is included. Mounting the box is easy, the wiring isn't to hard ether. You can get a harness if you don't want to splice into the factory wires.

Getting the harness is a good idea, not only is easy to install but it looks clean. As far as the plug wires i don't see a problem, think about getting the msd coil also.

Getting the harness is a good idea....think about getting the msd coil also. The harness is a nice way to go. It makes the box "plug-n-play" I'd skip the coil though.
The MSD6 ignition control and the Blaster coils don't play well together. Mine failed just under a year, and if you check the MSD forum . I am not the only one.
Their warranty is good and they did replace mine. I just recently tried running it again, but I'm not taking any chances-

I fabbed a bracket to mount a spare coil. Now if one fails I can just plug into the other :D

Personally I would save the money and run the stock coil. Clean it up , give it a coating of cheap hairspray to stop the voltage leakage and call it good.

I see that you have the Bosch Plat+4 listed. I developed a surge at cruise speed when running them. The warranty on them was good to, and I got my money back. Platinum tends to flake when using a capacitive discharge ignition control. I opted to run a set of irridium plugs. Might be worth considering.

Mounting is the next question that you will have so here's my install- MSD 6AL install (http://www.fmtc.com/%7Ebrule/msd.html)

The mounts that I used help with the transfer of vibration, and worked out really well.

HenryJ -- that's a pretty good idea! Looks good as well. Two thumbs-up for the concept!

MSD install is one of the more straightforward installs you'll deal with. Get the $30 harness and it's a snap. Four wires coming off the MSD box go into the four wires on the harness. The factory plug on the coil goes to the harness and the plug on the harness goes to the coil. Wire up the + and - wires on the box and mount it -- you're done.

HenryJ that is a cool! I have two coils and I might try and fab up a bracket like that too. Thanks for the idea.

I have not had any problems with my msd coil or 6a for the past year and a half. I didn't notice any difference with the aftermarket coil either, so i would just stick with the stock coil.

I have jba wires, and they work fine with the msd.

I am running standard non platnum plugs. They are autolites from walmart.

This all came from a tip on ORE's Offroad Travel Kit (http://www.offroadexperience.com/preparation.htm#Travel%20Kit).
After reading the above article I decided it was indeed a good idea to mount a spare under the hood where it is easily swapped. So much of our vehicle is electronic now, redundant systems are good insurance :D
