yeah, that guy spent about twice as much on his motor than I did. Unfortunately a S/C isnt available to us guys with serpentine belt systems.

Honestly, if I did have the excess money to spend on a S/C I would drop a v8 of some soret into it instead of that.

now that i look at that pic, that pulley on the S/C has to be custom because the fageol site states specifically that it cannot use serpentine.

There is no replacement for displacement in my opinion but a 3.4 is a very docile engine.The GMPP 3.4 makes 160 horsepower and 194 Ft. Lbs.Not bad for a small 60 degree.Now throw some boost to that and it would be a pretty strong contender for a supercharged 4.3.The fageol roots type blower advertises at 5 pounds of boost about a 35% hp/tq increase on a stock 2.8 to the rear wheels.So say that might make about a 45% increase to the crank.So add 45% to a GMPP 3.4 and you get around 232hp.Take drive train loss of around 20% from that and you would get about 185hp to the wheels with the 3.4.Add to that with a good flowing exhaust with headers true dual exhaust and tweak the fuel system with a larger throttle body and injectors and it wouldn't take much to get that 185 to around 200/220.And some of your 2.8 S10's came with 3.73 or 4.10 gears.Then you have one fast ass little 60 degree engine.Of course this is just a what if scenario of a blown 3.4 against a blown 4.3.But you give the same detail to a 4.3 and it will beat the 3.4.I just like the what if conversation lmao.

Agreed... But just like you said "no replacement for displacement" that's why I'm lookin to add cylinders. Wouldn't have if the intake had been worth a ****.
