   I got a floor shift console from a 98+Blazer at the wreckers. I got the linkage but dont know what i need for the wiring. DO i need the whole harness? Or do i splice stuff up?(what do i slice together?) What do i got to do with the column shift wiring? What about the old indicators...will they still work(can i make them still work)?
Where can i get a plastic cover peice to hide the missing column arm?
A write up of the whole process would be nice...but i think im hoping for too much. Electrical prints and diagnosics would be of great help.

If not i will try to do a write up of both this conversion and overhead console conversion. My goal is to use as much of gm stock harnesses as posible with minium splicing. Thanks for trying to help! :)

Note: both vehicles equiped with 4.3l auto. My truck is 2001 LS ZQ8.

yes, the gear indicator on the gauge cluster will continue working. the only difference is when it is in park, you will nothave a "box" around the P. as for the harness (i.e. the neutral safety switch) you will need the whone harness from the dealer. it will run you about 5 to 600 bux. trust me, ive checked. you dont have to wire up the neutral/safety switch. i didnt in my old 02 i i havent yet in my new one with a hammer shifter in it. if you look at the shifter mechanism, you will me "locked" in park to where you physically have to press the button to get out of park. if you are really worried about it that much, you can set the p brake. i dont unless i am on an incline of more than 20 degrees. hope this helps...

I got the harness for the shifter. Do i need the whole dash harness or can i just wire it up from there with electrical prints and diagonositics? Just need some clarity. thanks

you might be able to cut and paste it together, i am not sure though, never tried...

No, you will not need a whole harness...

You safety neutral/reverse light switch will work and all your PRND321 lights will work fine as that is all controlled by the switch on the side of the transmission.

Wiring...

(at the solenoid plug)
Both blacks to ground
Gray to light switch
Light green to accessory power (so when you turn on the car the solenoid releases it from park...

You can see everything in the how-to section.

All you will need is the cable (Shifter Cable (GM Part # 15713353))
