i tried my truck on the quarter mile but still have thing to get right for better times ... my rear brake are too tight so i cant burn to warm my rubbers so i spins as hell ... ill get my slips from my truck tomorow to show you guys but i did 15.2 a couple of time ... you could probably suggest me idea by my time slips
do one of you guys know what spider gear ( i guess its how it is called ) i could put in to spin both wheels ... do the 4x4 have a limited slip ? any other cars .. that would fit in my rear end ( not mine but my trucks ) or companies who make some ... i know i have 3:7:3 gears in the rear and no kind of sort of limited slip
is 15.2 good for a practicaly stock v-8 into an s-10 who spined as hell ...... ??
thanks alot guys and ill get my slips tomorrow

Any kind of traction problems distort the 1/4 ET dramatically. It doesn't alter the mph by much and that'll give you a good indicator of ET potential.
What was the MPH?

thanks alot guys and ill get my slips tomorrowIf you want a factory limited slip rear look for S10's with the G80 RPO code in the glove box.It will be harder to find a limited slip rear with gears any lower than 3.42's since they are the most common gear in automatics with limited slip.Which 3.42 isn't a bad gear at all.A pretty good middle point. If you wanna go aftermarket there are plenty of those to chose from.Just check out Summit or Jegs. But as to traction your gonna find it hard to get traction in a S10 especially one with a V8 in it with out some sort of traction assistant. It's just plain weight distribution. The ass is to light in other words lol.

ok so my slip can be read as next
reaction : 1.155
I1 : 2.355
I2 : 6.695
I3 : 9.733
mph (I3): 72.201
I4 : ( not written ? )
E.T. : 15.141
MPH : 89.507
that is my best e.t. a had a couple of passes at 90, 91 mph ... and a couple of reaction time in the range of .850 to 1.231
tell me what you can see in this and could you explain the thing about lockers or limited slips that you where talking about id like to know

90-91 is gonna be a mid to high 14. Prolly 14.7-.8
Get that 2.35 60' time below 2.0 and you'll be running mid 14's.

The only traction aid a V8 S-10 running mid 14's needs is some weight. Dynamic or static. Move the battery to the rear, front drag springs, front drag shocks or any combination.
As far as posi, consider any 1/4 mile attempts without it, well, spinning your wheels ;).
Tires capable of traction at the track are also a must. I like the new M/T radials.

the most important thing is that you had it taken completly apart, then you put it back together AND it made it down the track under its own power...that is somthing to be proud of.
with a posi of some sort, wider tires and traction bars (caltracs) bet you could do a lot better.
