Finally had the S/C installed.
Now I need to tune using the included hand held computor thing (Fast-Flash)
How did everyone set up the tune?
Timing plus, Zero or Minus?
Fuel- Low, Mid or High?
Anything else I should do with the F.A.S.T.?
(all help is greatly appreciated, I am not a mechanic and this is my first S/C:)
The plugs are TR6 set to about .34, sound about right?

Continued...,
What settings are you using with the 'Jammer?
1. Install what tuning: Supercharger, stock, performance
2. What fuel type: regular, medium octane, high octane
3. What shifting: stock, economy, towing, performance
4. What shifting rpm: stock, economy, towing, performance
5. what speed limiter: stock, 130mph, unlimited mph.
6. Change ignition timing: -%5, 0, +%5
I used the following on my install:
1. Install what tuning: Supercharger, stock, performance
Supercharger of course
2. What fuel type: regular, medium octane, high octane
I put 93 octane fuel in and set to the medium octane setting. I don't want pinging, but I do want some of the daily driving efficiency of using the higher octane fuel with matching timing. Once I have an MSD that can retard some timing according to boost I will most likely change the setting to high octane to match the fuel. Untill then I'm playing it safe to avoid detonation.
3. What shifting: stock, economy, towing, performance
On mine the second choice was shift mode (ie how firm). I choose performance to take some of the slipping in shifting out. I have not tried the other setttings.
4. What shifting rpm: stock, economy, towing, performance
Ok, the first choice on mine was shift rpm, which I chose stock. Peformance caused mine to shift to the next gear are 4800rpm. On an S/C application, that's way to early, you loose some of your best boost because of that.
5. what speed limiter: stock, 130mph, unlimited mph.
Unlimited, why not, not going to be going that fast anytime soon on streets anyways. Plus the tires are only rated at 110mph. So set to unlimited, but I don't plan on testing it anytime soon, unless I get better tires and some track time.
6. Change ignition timing: -%5, 0, +%5
I choose 0. If you get pinging at the top rpm range then you could try setting it to -5%, but you will loose normal driving efficiency. But that's better than an exploded engine. Never use the +5%, increased timing is a bad thing on a S/C application.

i had to set on regular fuel setting and set the timing to -0.5 % to get the pinging to stop under high rpm - 4500-5000. but i think i am the only one that has had to do that. you want to make sure you have no pinging it is very hard on your motor.

How do you tell if you have "pinging"?

when under full load at wot youll hear a tick tick tick noise coming from the engine. Its metallic sounding and is sporadic unless its really bad.
even with headers, 2.25" ypipe and 3" straight through muffler I could hear it when its happening.
