I just got through detailing my engine bay when I noticed that there wasn't any timing marks to adjust the timing with a gun. How do you go about setting your timing??

Far as I know from mid-95 to present they use a locked distributor, so timing isn't adjustable.

yeah those computers are pretty smart. I just bought a diagnostic program that does data logging and the computer took it from like -5* (i don't really remember the lower extrme) to 44* during regular driving and getting on it a few times.

The distributor controls injector timing. The parameter viewed on a scanner would be "cam offset". You would turn it to acheive 0 offset.
The crank sensor controls ignition events. A "crank sensor re-learn" procedure can be done with most of the higher priced scanners.
