they make kits where you flip your leafs and its just like lowering the truck 2-3 inches...

You don't flip the leafs themselfs, you move the axle tube below them insead of on top. Result +2" of lift.

Normally more like 4" or 5" from what I've heard, but yeah. Simply from that.

Think about it though, the springs are going from under the axle to the top of the axle. However fat that axle is is however much the lift will be pretty much.

You can flip the leafs. And it looks really cool. But is extremely unsafe. The reason being is that the locating pin is flipped as well and there isn't a place for the axle to stabalize itself. If you drive on it what will happen is the axle will slide rearward and eventually the driveshaft will slip out of the transmission. Besides the fact that you will feel every imperfection in the road. Another great thing that could and would be likely if this was done....if only one side slips out and pulls the emergency brake cable and locks up the wheels. Very dangerous.
