94 Blazer Tranny Help!

Ok so my driveshaft broke and along with that it cracked the tailshaft extention housing on my transfer case and it also cracked the transmission case in the rear. What the hell... Ive had my transmission case swapped out by a reputable transmission shop because it was rebuilt less than a year ago, and I replaced the tailshaft housing on the transfer case after weeks of searching for a new one. Now my transmission has no reverse and it might be my imagination but it seems to be slipping a little when i first take off. Other than that it shifts fine and everything. When I put the torque converter in it sat about 1/2 inch+ away from the flywheel and I had to draw it together with the converter bolts, is this normal? if anyone has any ideas as to what the hell is going on please help!

Sounds like you broke the reaction sun shell. Should've also lost 4th gear. And if memory serves, 2nd gear.

4th and second are there and it seems like it wants to go in rev. but just doesnt have enough power. Also I would have assumed that the trans shop would have seen something like that when they swapped the case but i could be wrong.

No, you're right, they would have seen that.

Almost gotta be a missing checkball. See if it has manual low (gearshift pulled to 1).

sparky, could it be that when the drive shaft broke it damaged the differential? you know slung back and dented the gears up good?
