for my brother's 89 blazer we have the engine out being rebuilt, and when it is out we are going to reroute the fuel lines so they aren't all that close to the headers but what we are un-sure of is we know we want stainless lines, and the fittings that go with them but what size fittings do we need to go from where the lines come through the framerails (where the hard lines start) and what fittings do we need to atacch to the TBI? also if anyone has done this show some pics because we are open to ideas....
the lines at the TBI unit are a tapered pipe thread I have no idea what size. You might want to think about routing them like the CPI lines are run where they come up the back side of the engine because the stock configuration is way to close espescially with headers and that way the lines are more hidden to make a cleaner look

I run full length headers and don't have any fuel line issues. Floor shifter also.
you also have CPI on the TBI the fuel lines are run close to the exaust and have rubber hoses their the cpi lines run up the tranny back side to the engine back side far away from headers. I converted a 89 blazer to CPI and a 4l60E tranny so i know how the fuel lines are routed differently

I just don't remember them being that close. I like your idea of using the cpi lines though.

they are pretty close but i think some heat wrap would work as well, its something my mechanic brought up when he was gonna do the headers but held off because of the clearance issues... but we'll see i know that i can run to a yard or the parts place to get the fuel lines from a CPI or the like...
fittings for the tbi or cpi are 14mmx1.5 and 16mmx1.5 saginaw.
Russel and Earls carries them and now I see Accel does as well. You could always flare
your line to 37* and use nuts and sleeves for the inlet which is 3/8 and the
outlet which is 5/16. Summit has em. I have Earls 14mm and 16mm
fittings on my TBI as I went with alum line for a remote FPR. Anyway
here's Accels fittings..>
