I know this will sound dumb, but I have a intermittent squeaking coming from the front end of my truck. It sounds like near the passenger side, by the wheel. I already replaced a bad ball joint, but the other is OK. I cant seem to find where its coming from...its kinda loud too, I think people outside can hear it....I just turn the radio up to ignore it

Any ideas? or anything common like this?

BTW- its a 4wd 94 S10 blazer if it matters

When do you hear it? If it stops while pressing on the brakes firmly (not just 'riding' them) it's probably worn brake pads on that wheel.

Lube all of the rubber bushings in the front suspension with a spray-on lubricant. Get the anti-sway bar bushings, shock bushings, etc. It might also be one of the body mount bushings. They are donut shaped (and sized) bushings between the frame and the body. They should be lubed periodically.

No its deff. not brakes, its suspension... I would assume that it is a bushing somewhere, it will squeak/creak over certian bumps or terrain. It oddly seems to do it more when its hot, rather than cold out? Strange. But thanks I will lube up the bushings around there first, before replacing stuff.
What would be best to use to do that?

Thanks

BTW matt - have you run your blazer in the 1/4?

Post up your results after you get the bushings lubed up, got some squeaks and creaks in mine I'm still chasing.

Nope, haven't run a 1/4 yet, best guesstimates put it in the 15's- not sure which side of .5 tho. Really want to supercharge it before I take it down the strip.

I forgot to mention to lube the upper and lower A arms as well.

I have just inherited the same squeak. The funny thing is it seems like the cold and the ice brought mine into play...

I always use spray silicone and it seems to work. If you have stock bushings don't use anything that will deteriorate rubber parts.

Another thing to check is the inner fender to frame clearance. Before I changed my body mount the passenger side was rubbing the frame on occasion.
