I just installed a engine driven compressor kit on my truck, for 2 main reasons, 1) it will be a lot faster and 2) my battery kept dying. Well i go to get in my truck this morning, and what do you know its DEAD. I think i may know why but just a guess. The only think electric on the whole install is the clutch. Now it said to wire it to a keyed source, but i wired it to the pressure switch and then the switch to the battery. So im guessing that the clutch is always ingaged causing a drain on my battery. I have the yellow top optima battery by the way. So i guess my question is....how should i wire it up to make this damn thing work? thanks in advance guys.

Something is drawing voltage with key off.I would wire it as suggested and see what happens. If no change then something else is drawing the voltage.

That A/C clutch is gonna draw 5-10 amps. I wouldn't just plug it into "any" accesory fuse. Use a relay to operate the compressor. That way you're only using 1/4 amp (or so) to run that clutch. Let the relay switch straight battery voltage to the clutch.
