That's what I was thinking. That's just an old Techumsa/York 2 cyl. vertical compressor. Ford used 'em for ages on their full size trucks. Motorhomes, Medium duty trucks, dealer installed A/C, they all used 'em.

I think the compressor can be had for around $200. $775 for the rest of that? eh, not me.....

But then, I ain't into the whole bags scene, just a thought for you guys.

i bought my whole kit for 679 shipped. and it is that EXACT kit. ordered it from suicidedoors.com, but it actually shipped from airliftcompany.com which is the EXACT same company as easy street. Dont know why it is so expensive on that site. hmmmm...well thats my 2 cents

the yorks work great for onboard air. You can get them cheap from the junk yards. Many offraoders use them so they can fill tires or run air tools on the trail. the big problem with a stcok gm compressor is the freon is what lubes it. So you need a oiler at the inlet and a oil remover at the outlet

well jjones, i havent really got a chance to see what its got yet. finished up with it, just need to wait for my battery to charge. But as far as installing the kit. Im not much of an under the hood kind of guy. But i attempted this, and it wasnt really that bad. If i was able to do this in one day, then someone with some knowledge can do it probably in 3-6 hours. But what ive seen from the kit so far i really like. I ran it a little bit, and its pretty quick. So far, there isnt anything i dont like about it. If you have any other questions, just ask.
