On the front passanger side my tire keeps going flat.. I get it pumped up the tire people grind down the rim and seal the rim but then about 2 weeks later it's leaking again... I had to get this done about 10 times this summer alone.. is this a problem with the rim or the tire? what would cause this to occur on this one tire?

Get you some sudsy detergent, mix it with water and put it in a spray bottle. The leak will bubble like crazy when you spray it.

Spray the entire tire, bead and valve stem. You'll find it.

Even easier than that...if you can get yourself a big tub large enough to dunk the entire wheel in, the bubbles will spot the leak for you real quick.

But then you'd have to take it off, and I'm lazy.

I would do it sparky's way, it will clean the tire and get better traction. lol

if you know its leaking like crazy around the rim and no one can get a good bead on it, almost sounds like its time for a new rim.

Old-timers trick is to soak a rag in trans fluid and wipe the bead with the rag damp. Swells the rubber enough to fill the gaps.

Judeing by what you just said about the tire plase check your valve stems. It's a good bet they are reuseing your old ones.
I'll assume these are steel rims.if the tire plase is grinding on your rim that is a problem right there.Sounds like a firestone trick to me. The tire plase should have never attemped to put a tire on a rusted rim on it to begine with. Not only is unsafe, but it's a waste of "YOUR" money

That being said there is a differnce between suface rust and scale. Suface rust can be taken off with a stiff wire brush, but scale will pit the rims. Pits can be fixed by adding metal(welding) not by grinding out more of rim.

Know let's assume you have alloy wheels(that is GM calls there aluminum rims). The tire plase is seriuosly grinding you rim down!!! The tire plase owes you a rim.
