SO I apoligize this may be kind of a newb question but here it goes:
What years of 4L60E's work with each other? For ex. I have a 94...can I put in like a 98 tranny?
Also, with the tranny out, what is the best, affordable way to make it a little more performance/reliable?
Lemme know, I may be getting this tranny soon! Thanks!

Not a newb question at all. You can put a newer 4L60E in an older application but not always an older in a newer application. Has to do with the TCC operation. Get specific (is it 98 to 94?) and I'll get you the specific difference.
Also, 2.2 4L60E is all by itself as is the LS1 4L60E (ain't that right joker ;))
Otherwise, you're good.

Sweet!
Its from a 99 blazer and it would be going in my 94 blazer...but its on ebay so I dunno what its gonna go for if its too much I wont bother, but luckily I am only about 2 hours away from it so that will same me a ton on shipping.

if it is a 4x4 no you can not put the newer one in your 94. In 95 or 96 they changed the tranny to a removable bellhousing and the tail shaft to more than a four bolt pattern so your transfer case would not bolt up
