Strong Smell

Would a hollowed out CAT make a strong exhaust smell?? If my windows down on start up I choke everytime...

and we wonder why the epa keep tightening the smog laws...
with a 93 you should look into a highflow if you don't already have one of the newer honeycomb cats(If you've had the cccat changed cense 01 you shouldn't have the old pellet type).

the answer to your quetion however is yes. Last I heard oregon is one of the states still allowed to use the cheaper higher sulfur fuels instead of being forsed to use oxygenated and rfg gas you will get a slight rotten egg smell or burn match smell.
This dosn't mean in flexable fuel states all stations will be useing the older HS gasoline. That'll be up to the owner of the station and to companey he buys gas from.
