Whats up guys I have a 99 s10 and just here lately I have been getting this ses code. What could cause this? I have an accel cap & rotor, ac delco random fire plugs, msd coil, and taylor wires. The plugs have about 15 grand on them and the wires, coil, cap, and rotor are about 1 year old. I just checked the cap and it was a little loose (moved back and forth a little) could this cause this??

IF you are getting the SES light, your computer will store the codes. Go to advance auto or AutoZone and have them scan it. They could tell what codes are being thrown. They'll do it for free.

I'm assuming he is getting p0300. Most likely cause would be dist. cap or clogged fuel injectors.

I had that same problem ever since I put on the powerdyne. I tried all the ignition parts. MSD6 BTM, Accel cap and rotor, Taylor 8mm hi temp wires and 5 different kinds of plugs including iridium. I even tried indexing the plugs. No change. About 4 weeks ago I had the top off the throttle body and I smelled gas. Then it was hard to start after it was warm. I guessed the injectors were leaking by. I had a spare injector assembly from an old manifold I bought and I sent them off to be cleaned and tested out. Today I replaced the entire injector assembly. Watching with Autotap, used to under full throttle, after 4000 RPM cylinder 2 and 3 would register over 100 missfires throwing the P0300 code. Today, after 4000 RPM, no misses on any cylinder. Its a bit of a job, it took me about 6 1/2 hours, but it was worth it.
