Electric Window popping

Starting last week'ish, whenever I opened and closed the drivers window, a pop started to develop. I only hear it (for now) at a specific position while it opens/closes. My fear is the gear on either the motor or the window armature (correct part?) may be stripping out.

Is this something to worry much about or can I live with it for a while?
