Over the winter (not very fast at replacing things) the latch on my sliding rear window popped off. It looks like there was acrylic epoxy stuff holding it on. Do I need to remove this before reattching the latch and how can I remove it w/o damaging the window. Also, what works well for reattaching?
The sliding rear window is original from the factory, not an after market one.
Thanks,
Ragan

i'd remove it so the new one will bond. try a razorblade and then i'd use some more epoxy to reattach it.
Use a razor blade to completly remove all of the old material. Then buy some of the stuff used to hold on rear view materials. The old must be completly removed for the new stuff to adheare so once the old is off, wipe it down with some alcohol. I worked in a glass shop and we had about 2 a week during our last winter.

Junkyard, dealership, gmpartsdirect.com...Maybe can find it at one of those places.
When I need to replace something, I usually call the stealership, get the parts number, and they buy it off gmpartsdirect for half the price the dealership charges or sometimes even better than that.
