ok guys here is the problem..... we are putting the finishing touches on my bro's engine and ran into some problems doing the heads....
The studs that the rockers slide on to are all good but two of them are "pulling out" of the heads so that the rockers won't seat all the way down. Is there a way to tighten those down without having to run back to the machine shop? we've got our fingers crossed....

They're 10x1.5 thread so you have 2 choices. Helicoils or JB Weld. If you know how to properly use JB weld that's your easiest choice. A heli-coil will require removing the intake to catch the metal.

i think i may have mislead you guys... there are two that are actually pulled up enough that the rockers don't sit flush with the base, we could provide pics if we need to.
Is there a way to get those studs back into the heads? or is it ok to leave them out a bit and just JB weld them in place?

when you install the rocker arms on the studs are the rockers supposed to sit flush on the bases? or do they stand up off the base alittle bit?

Your stock stud is a 10x1.5mm thread with an 8mm shaft. The upgrade would be the 3/8" studs (they have a 7/16" coarse thread). So, you're still dealing with tapping the heads out to 7/16". Problem is, they're already 10mm and the thread depth (tapped to 7/16" coarse) is lacking a bit. I put JB weld on mine and screwed them in. Worked great.
I know there is a 10x1.5 x 3/8" stud out there, but they were ridiculously expensive, so I just went with the standard Chevy screw-in stud.

Ok I got some part numbers I would like to get some opinions on.
At Summit:
Rocker Arm studs ARP-100-7201
Proform Roller Rockers Pro-66915
Will these work for an 89 S-10 Blazer? I am unsure about the rollers being for a 350, but I heard they should work.
Thanks.

i read on gm performance direct that they should fit. if you go on that website they have a list of all the parts that fit small block and the 4.3s.

You could try pinning the studs which will also add strength to the top end.But if it was me I would just have them machined for 3/8 screw in studs.
