I only have about 4 more car shows left this season before I take my truck off the road for the winter and of course something has to mess up. The rear engine seal is leaking oil like its pissin. I could pull the engine and skip the shows and take it off the road now, or I can put in an additive. I know there was an additive discussion on here before doesnt hurt to ask again...pull the engine or additive?

It's not that big a repair. You pull the trans., not the engine. 1 piece seal installs from the rear.

I'm eventually gonna pull the trans as soon as it goes off the road for the winter..just thought an additive for the time being. But maybe I won't..

make sure that it is the rear main seal first it could be a few other things like the tranny front seal, a valve cover gasket etc where is the oil coming out of are you sure it is engine oil
I have the same problem. My rear main seal is leaking. And it is engine oil.
