well.. my blazer took a warscar today. was on my way home from school, when i was side tracked onto the dirt road. alls is well as im power sliding around the turns, when someone decided a rock would look great in the middle of the road. so i basically went up in this rock, wasnt very big, maybe 4" tall but it was enough to jar the front of the blazer to the right... so im trying to slow down maybe going 30. but it went up on the bank on the right.

of course i had to hit the biggest rock in site. ruined the tire / rim. alls good. put the spare on and as i do i noticed the whole tire rubbed on the wheel well. it was pushed back im not sure atleast 2"... got it home, took the tire off... nothing looks broken, but its completely ****ed. so now i dont know what to do. i sappose i just... walk, because i have no money. and i imagine this is gonna cost me a couple hundred. anyone have any ideas what to look at? or just have fun reading my rant?

Go to the U-pull-it yard. Get the upper and lower control arm and spindle all in one shot. Prolly 30 bucks. Stick it on. I'd bet good money it'll get you close enough to drive. Might even take a good alignment.

Oh yeah, make sure the tie rods are straight on yours. If not, just grab the whole thing (inner/outer tie rods and sleeve) while you're there.

so... update. i took it to a local shop, he looked at it. and put tie rods on.. he then called and told me he thinks that the frame is bent. im going to go down their now, and take it to a frame shop... anyone have any idea what that costs?

Somewhere between $300-450. Find a shop that has a laser machine. You'll get an alignment and a really cool printout showing the frame before and after.

ok.. im going to do that when i have the money, in the mean time, i got my truck back. and it feels great, doesnt pull, drives straight, except the shop told me it wasnt safe to drive because the frame could be bent... does this mean i shouldnt drive it, or does this mean if i drive it and it breaks they arent held responsible? im trying to figure out if i can drive it around town while its like this, or if it could lead to something more serious? anyone know?
