brother has a 91 suburban stock rearend 3.42 limited slip 8.5" ring gear...wondering if the carrier would swap over to my blazer? i only have a 7.65" ring gear and wondered if this could work? i have 3.42 limited slip now. might sound stupid but just wondering

Gotta have the 8.5 rear housing to handle the carrier.

How can i tell if a junkyard car or truck has a limited slip, preferably without taking the diff cover off. (up here the bolts are so rusted it takes forever to get the cover off)
