Gas Gauge trouble & Recent CEL

hey Guy's/girls. I just got my 00' Blazer LS yesterday. it only has 58K miles on it and is equipped with the 4.3L. Umm, Current mods(on it when I bought it) are an AirRaid Intake and Throttle Body Spacer.... everything else is stock. I have 2 Probs already with it. Number one is the Gas gauge. It bounces around, from full to Empty and everywhere in between. My roomate said the Floater might be stuck.... Possibility?

And then tonight the Check engine Light randomly came on. It runs fine and all the fluids check out ok.... light just came on though :confused: . I'm taking it back to the dealer tomorrow for both the Probs though. any Idea what would be causing either of the Problems?..... thanks Guy's.

The gas gauge sounds like a ground problem, could be a float issue, but doubtful. SES light is prolly an O2 sensor, anyone wanna throw bets on it?

That truck is infamous for bad sending units. Can replace seperately so make sure you get the quote for just that and not the whole assbly.

Last time I checked the sender was like $150-200.

well... I'm not sweatin it... it's under warranty for 3 months or 4,500 Miles. So you think it's the o2 sensor for the SES and the sending unit for the Gas Gauge?

Might be right. Hope thye can have them both fixed by 2Pm tomorrow. Do they have to drop the tank down to replace the sending unit for the gas gauge?..... I'm new to this motor.

They'll either drop the tank or lift the bed.
