hey guys i took my clutch fan out for the flex-a-lite dual 10" fans, but what i have noticed on my temp gauge is that when i lay into it with the blower my temp spikes upto 200-210, but once i take my foot off the gas and i drive normal for a few min the tempo will drop back down to 180, now could this be a prob with my thermostat or am i not flowin enough cfm to keep my engine cool under hard acceleration

water Pump and rad probably can't keep up.

I'd say the fans might not be able to move enough air

I hear some of the stock fans could move up to 4,000cfm.
Doubt the normal electric ones come close to that.

I'd say the fans aren't flowing enough. Does it ever go over 210? If it doesn't then I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It is normal for the engine temps to spike some under hard acceleration and you have forced induction on top of that.Besides the clutch fan wouldn't be moving any more air either until it fully locks in.Which doesn't happen until you get around 210/220 anyways. So until you get to those temps the clutch fan really isn't cooling the engine that much.If you are not seeing those temps the rest of the time and it's not going over 210 then I say don't worry about it.When I floor it on mine the temps will climb pretty quick but come down just as fast when I let out on it.And I have the Taurus fan and I know it moves plenty of air to keep the engine cool.
