Ok so theirs questions about them here, i found a question about the laptop hook up. theirs a whole site / network dedicated to "carputers", www.mp3car.com (http://www.mp3car.com/) go their and check it out.. search for blazers in the forums, theirs a few good ones with custom stuff. im going to be building / installing one of my own soon come, (after my blazer is back to 100% life). Yeah i was just wanting to inform you guys, maybe get some people excited about it...

basically it goes like this..

Computer (anything really.. alot of people use old outdated ones)
-im going to do a miniATX, with p4 3.0, 1gb ram, 20gig boot disk, 120 gig media disk, dvd/ cd burner, Nvidia geforce fx 5700 ultra video card, SOund blaster audigy 2zs platinum sound card. all for about 800-900$...
(custom case to fit somewhere good, havent figured out where thoe)

from the (video card) computer you want a display... (duh)
(7.5" TOuch screen lcd. mounted where headunit and HVAC is.[indash])relocate hvac to glovebox.. (vga LCD for good quality)

from the (sound card) straight to an amp...
not sure the amp yet... but 4 channel, for all 6 speakers. and then maybe another one for some subs (come summer)

then... you can do some other fun stuff like...
WIRELESS INTERNET (dock right from your driveway to your house, and sync everything up. drive by anyones house with wireless and automatically hook up. panera bread, anything like this... and your e-netted.)
GPS for about $100+ software..
printer...
direct USB for a camera...

im going to go head unit less... so im loosing the radio, BUT...
they make an FM reciever for a computer, you just need the right antenna, all for maybe 110$.

Alot of good stuff, i recommend looking into it..

I knew of a guy who actually took his laptop apart and molded the screen into the dash. Ill try and find some pics. This is a kicass mod, wish I had the $$ to do it myself

yeah go look around on that site, learn more about it... you can be pretty cost efficient, some guy did a really nice job for under 400$... thats the price of an ipod and an aux...

that looks really nice like that in his glove box... i have the newer ac panel thoe.. but i wonder if i could use a panel like that, just to save room in my glovebox..or even make a custom fiberglass panel?

edit: im ordering all my computer parts i think on monday... im not gonna have alot of income, but as long as i can get the computer all set up and ready to go then its really just a matter of lcd... and then i can makeshift it to get it going.
