Tru Duals

i was thinkin of getting tru duals put on my xtreme just for the pure fact that it would breathe better, but now my question is how much am i goin to be losing in my bottom end, how much of diff will it make in the higher rpm's compared to the stock y-pipe set-up

Now when i do this what size pipe should i be running, and should i use an X-pipe or H-pipe??

you should run an H pipe from everything Ive heard. If I were you, I would run a 2.25" pipe, so you dont lose everything in the bottom end. If you are wanting to go all the way and put a stall converter in, then Id bump it up to 2.5" pipe.

Hmmm....got a Wynjammer eh? I'd go 2.5" true duals, stall converter and wring that bad boy OUT!

What about the o2 sensors? I think on the 2000 there are 4 of em. If you were gonna run true duals, what would you do about them, 02 sim I guess?

Eh. I cant think it would be too hard. Just have bungs welded in. A decent shop can do that.

I agree having bungs put in is pretty easy. Problem is that now you'd have 2 seperate pipes. You could only really run duals if you don't have emissions, because otherwise you'd need 2 cats, and where do you put the last 02 sensors? One is supposed to go before the cat, the other after. Seems like alot of work

i have tru duals on my v6 i just ran 2 cats and mounted the o2 sensors befor and after the cat on the pas side as if the stock cat was still there

Any pictures of the exhaust? Have you taken the truck to the track ever?

no i have never taken it to the track and it sits way to low know to get pics of the exhaust.

If I get this 91 s-10 blazer, immah go tru duals like i had on my 79 elky ss. Course Id have to buy 2 high flow cats, but o well.

Should I get regular turbo mufflers or flowmasters? Turbos sounded good and fairly quiet on the 305 ho, but not sure about a 4.3.

any suggestions?
