Well it was a normal saturday night last weekend, local car meets, and cruises, and my friend who has been telling me the blazer is POS is there. He drives a 2001 VTEC s/c integra which is pretty quick, but he wanted to race me on spray. I have a zex kit so the jets are to the flywheel hp, so i put in the 75hp jets. I set my digital window switch to 2500 and 4900. This is what happens
Round 1- Stop light-
I launch at 2000 rpm he launches from somewhere up in VTEC land RPMS, and i own him through 1st and 2nd gear, i have about 3 car lengthes on him at this point. Then when we hit third he starts creeping up, but maybe a foot every second so he was unable to catch me bye 80. WIN TO THE BLAZER
Round 2- 40 mph roll
this is bottom of 2nd for the blazer so im in my power range. He honks 3 times and gets the jump. Bye the time i shift to 3rd i have him bye a car length and then he starts inching up again, he gets his front bumper to my front fender by the time we hit 80 and we both let off. WIN TO THE BLAZER
I was very impressed w/ the little 3.02 open diff blazer. That car probably weighs 1200lbs less. But he was only running 8lbs of boost, which he can run 11lbs but for some reason he wasnt, or he just said that to make an excuse.
He hasnt gotten the thing dynotuned (i think hes running really rich) yet but when he does i will be ready. w/ bigger fuel pump, and 100shot to the wheels.
When we got back he wasnt talking ****, he was asking me how much it cost, and where i got it.... figures..... Now i got mustangs wanting a peice of the blazer.... so there should be some more races to report soon.
I will get some videos next time, when i got the bigger shot and fuel pump.
I was suprized at how hard it pulled up top even. Thats usually where i get my ass kicked bye the high revving 4cyl's.
