I had a cherry bomb on my 2.8, and it sounded really good at idle, like a muffled small block, but at the High RPM's it got really raspy.

If you are just replacing the muffler it shouldn't sound to bad.It might be raspy on top end but down low sound good.

raspy as in rattly or as in total rice burner

Raspy as in the way an exhaust is supposed to sound. At least if your old enough to remember.

I run straight pipe to my glass pack, and then the stock tailpipe out the back. Sounds great on my little 2putt8. I like the sound, its pure raw power, even if it is only 125horses. If you like the sound of race cars at the track, you'll like the glass pack. It's not as load as the track, but it carries the same tone. However sound is all personal preference.

And no, not like a fart can behind a rice burner.

Mine got ricey at the top end, but with the mighty 2.8, that is bound to happen, just not enough cubes to get a decent sound up top.

I have decent sound at high rpm...I am actually thinking of cutting the cat off for the sound not for performance of course. The cat causes a slight drone that I am not too happy wiht but you can always hear the cylinder banks since I got this cam.

when i bought my s-10 i had a dual exhaust with 2 cherry bombs but needed to replace them for the safety test but tham these sounded good all the rpm range but i have a 350 ... but my 2 chambers mufflers are louder and sounds better .. more expensive tought and police friendly
