On S-10 with auto trans. there is no hop shock(newer models) This is easily solved for 10 bucks. Go to Autozone and get a Leafspring clamp kit. Put the clamps on the spring assembly, at the front of the overload, and clamp the whole pack together. The overload spring will now act as a traction bar, and resist the axel wrap we all know and hate. Here is the link for the clamp kit

This is great for static drops, as it does not hang down like traction bars.

that is a very useful little tidbit of information, wonder if it will work with lowered leafs? anyone got 3" drop leafs, mine are in seattle and im in germany so i cant really look.

I got 3" dropleafs and just got the kit tonight. I'll let you all know if it works.

I have belltech 3" lowered leafs and I bought some hellwig traction control springs from jcwhitney and they worked out great. here's a pic...

Yes. If you don't have a hop shock, it will work.
