I have a 1996 2.2 liter that keeps losing coolant. I have replaced all hoses and still leaks. Replaced radiator and bypassed heater and still leaks. It don't leak much so I can't just see it. It is not burning it. I can smell it when I park but nothing on the ground. It takes a week for the overflow tank to be dry. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? I'm at a lost... It's no big deal but I don't like have to add coolant every week and wondering if it will blow at once and leave me stranded.

well my 98 just clicked 268K and about 10,000 miles ago my water pump seals started to leak, id try replacing that, cost is about 20 bucks at advanced auto and a tube of permatex, that should fix the problem.

That is one part that I can see... It is not leaking. I think it mite be leaking on the passenger side under the intake. But I can't see where. It does not drip on the ground.

Intake gasket. Apparently this is a common problem with the 4.3.

I was gonna say Head Gasket. It looks like we've eliminated that though. My old 2.2 needed one about every 50,000 miles. No freeze plug leas is there?
