I know this is off subject for sseries and Im sorry but my wifes car eclipse) through a code today of (P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak). I dont know how to go about chasing the problem down now though. any advise would help and Im sorry to post it here but I appreciate all your guys help

First place to check would be the gas cap. If that isnt the problem, it could be a number of things. If its not the cap, Im thinking that the backdoor (in the evap system) got left open during the normal check routine. Sparky, your thoughts? I do know that snap on makes an evap system tester that basically blows smoke into the evap system, where ever you have smoke coming out, there is your leak.
