I have a 93 typhoon, and just picked up a rear window with no wiper and no defroster. it has the black molding. Is that something that can be replaced, cause the bottom peice is real rusty.
thanks jim
I have a similar window with the black metal trim.
I got it about half way off but couldn't figure out how
to get the whole thing off without bending it. If i
remember correctly it seems pressed on in some spots

The moulding should be attached to the glass... And if its surface rust and not eatting thru the metal you should be able to just sand it down and primer then paint...
^^I tried that when I originally got mine from the yard.
Its almost impossible to get the whole thing clean without
scratchin the glass. and you can't get the inside lip
Rust came back anyway cause I wasnt able to get it off
while attached to the glass the first time.

no, the bottom piece was bent away from the glass and filled with rust on both sides of the glass. i pulled the whole bottom piece off, its unrepairable. is there a replacement part?
Could probably find a replacement at a u-pull-it yard,
or salvage yard.

well, its from a salvage yard. i was hoping it was repairable, i might pull all of the molding off and rigg something up to attach the pistons to.

Put down a couple layers of tape over the glass.. Thats what we do at the shop when we are having to sand by anything that needs to be protected. if it starts to wear get some more..
And I will try to look it up to see if you can buy just the moulding for the window...
