Hi All this is my first official post,
I own an 89 Chevy Blazer with a AC Delco remanned Engine, The engine has 40K on it and i just had a valve lifter collapse, I replaced it and now my intake valve will not come up on the #1 Cylender, I was going to try putting some pressure to the cylender and seeing if the valve would open up, Do any of you guys have any other suggestions on how to free it up?
Thanks
Brian

So, the intake valve lifter on #1 cylinder was replaced? If you didn't pump up the lifter before installing it, disconnect the ignition coil and spin the motor over for about 15 seconds. This will push some oil in the lifter. Then just start it up. It'll prolly tick for 5-10 minutes. Revving the dog-**** out of it will help get the lifter pumped up.

Accually i allready tried that, I primed and pumped the lifter up and that valve still wouldnt free up. I am going to hit it with an Air compressor today.

Thanks Sparky

OK i found the problem and fixed it, At the factory the person who was remaning the heads put the wrong sized bolt that the rocker sits on in the head, We measured the intake stud and it was 1/4" shorter on the #3 piston so we had to tighten the rocker down more than the other ones. thanks for the advice again, just for curiosity, do any of you guys have the same thing?
