i have a 96 s 10 w/ 5/6 drop comp cam 266hr, 2.02 intake ported and machined heads,hpp 3 programmer and true 2 1/4 duals. i have 225/60 15 toyo proxes on it now but i want a little wider and better traction cause i cant get it to hook at all right now any sugestions

Looking for something like the Mickey Thompson or BF Goodrich drag radials? About the stickest DOT street tires out there.

i thought about those but wasnt sure on tread life for everyday driven and any ideas on size?

Tread life is gonna be 5-15k depending on how hard you are on them.
Size availability is pretty good.

what tire ar you runnin on the blazer? difrent for track and street?

Yes. I had my drag tires mounted on a different set of wheels. I would drive them on the street occaisionally but damn, you get caught in the rain, you're limited to about 25 mph.
