So one day out of the clear blue me and my friend decided... hey lets put a 350 v8 in a blazer. we never thought we would actually do it but got the chance when an older friend of mine found a 94 blazer that had pretty wide tires on the back and small ones on the front, no engine, no tran, it was a project car that someone had lost because they couldnt pay there bills. So he picked it up from the tow yard for like 200 bucks which was awesome because the tires were worth 5 times as much. (awesome what you can get at a tow yard) anyway one of his friends has 6 or 7 engines just sitting in his shed because he is a used car salesman and sells alot of parts on ebay, he likes to scrap cars. so we asked him if we could use his jacks n put the biggest v8 he had into the blazer, he said yes! so now where all happy that we actually get to do this. what a job it was to get that engine in there right, cutting and welding everything, we literally took out everything even inside the car, which had rusted floors and some pretty bad holes in the wheel wells. we hooked up the engine and tranny and driveshaft and everything in about 4 weeks ( i know we are very slow, but it was our first time) We start it up and it just purrs, we start heading into the parking lot across the street (at a church) and do a small burnout, this thing had power. we drive it around for the next 3 days just doing little spurts of power before we fully let into it, the engine hadnt been ran in 2 months or so, and i think was driven by a grandma before, so had to brake it in. Thursday night rolls around, high school drags, along with my cousins mustang and his girlfriends dads 69 camaro we drive out to the drag strip. We watch as all the kids with there ricers line up doin one tire fires and cheerin on there friends. My cousin gets to go first, his 01 gt mustang with a short shifter, new pullys, basically everything power except a supercharger pulls up and does a 10 second burnout, its so loud it drains out the other kid as he watched in terror. They role up and take off, you know who won. Camaro is next, worked on everyday, kept in the garage, never seeing rain, it is perfect, all original raw american quick hot rod. He raced a pontiac trans am, close but camaro won easily. now time for the brand new blazer, never tested for this. I get in, wearing a helmet of course, because im scarred ****less, i smoke the tires for a good 15 seconds, huge smoke, and the track is sticky, i feel the tires gripping as a role onto the heat treated strip of rubber. I look to my right and see a kid in his decked out 93 eclipse, turbo charged, reving so that the car shakes, and starring right back at me... it was kinda gay. anyway we pull up and the ready lights turn on, 1, 2, 3 green light, i put it to the floor. I wan not prepared for what happened, the blazer through me back into the leather stock bucket seat, i clinched the wheel harder, and just like a bike, when you pull the handlebars back or in this case the steering wheel it felt like it was lifting with me, next thing i know im looking up at the sky, about to **** myself i let off the gas halfway and when its about halfway down i return to the floor, letting the wheelie level out and continue on down the track, to my surprise i have time to see the end and then it was gone, i got on the brakes and came around the corner heading back towards everyone, i could see people covering there mouths and jumping up and down, everyone is clapping and cheering, the eclipse was about 150 feet behind me when i got to the crowd of people. my cousin asked me what it was like and i was speachless, i couldnt believe what had happened, the truck did a perfect wheelie nearly half way down the track. It was nothing like you see on the internet where the cars and rising up and then smacking the ground creating a sea of sparks, no this leveled out smoothly, still going strong, i personally had never seen a nice wheelie, only the kind where the driver wussed out and slowed down. This is why everyone was cheering, it was perfect, the truck held up great, the only thing wrong with it afterwards was a small bend in the a-arm easily fixable. I honestly have no idea how i did this wheelie, it was all luck, so dont ask me how to do it. i never tried it again, i figured hey if i did it right and it was good lets end it on a good note and not flip it next time i try.

mostly not cause i got a blazer with an stock lt1 in it and it wont event try to lift one wheel as opposed to my s-10 wich as an 305 with some weird heads ( they work awesome !!! ) an performer rpm intake a 650 holley... my s-10 is really faster than the blazer my s-10 ran 14.6 open diff with a 60foot of 2.1 spinning wheels a little ..... and the blazer has a hard time spinning them ...

thats why i am really interested in that engine ...

My Blazer pulls the RF on a nitrous pass. 'bout 2 inches or so. But it plants good. Well, did....
