My first system

I Finlay finished installing my two Solobaric 12" L7s and Boss Ripper 3000W mono amp. I think I did a decent job for my first time building a box and installing subs and an amp. The box i built out of 3/4 mdf and covered in black vinyl. I only hit a few rough spots along the way. I ran my power wire to close to my exhaust manifold and ended up melting through the loom and insulation coat around the wire and grounding it out. After repairing the wire and replacing the fuse I was good to go. I have only given them about a quarter of the juice they can handle, but they sound amassing. I cant wait to break them in and start slamming them. Heres a few pics of my install.

thats a sweet box, im thinking of doing the vinyl on my box as well, looks sweet.

Must say thats a lot nicer stuff then I had in my first system... The box looks good and vinyl is hard to make look good and for a first attemped you did a good job. Is that amp mounted down or are you just using the wires to hold it in place cuz I don't see a screw. Mount that right if its not. Last thing you need is to rear end someone and have a amp take your head off. But it looks good..

I havent mounted the amp yet. I plan on making an angled rack to hide all of the wiring. So i hope i dont get in a wreck before then lol. Ya the amp isnt the most popular brand or considerd hiend but it was the best one avalible in my price range. Thanks for the input.

I like everything. I too have dual 12" KICKER Solobarics L-7's. I have a Memphis STD1000 pumping out 1100 at 1 ohm stable. 550 watts a piece. I've had my system for about 4 years now and I've had no problems with my subs or amp. When I want the music loud. It gets loud and same for soft. I went to an SPL comp and placed out 148.9 dbs.
