350 into 01 Noma

I want to drop a 350 Vortech into my 01 sonoma but the only problem is I dont know what exactly i will need to do this. What tranny and what motor year works the best and what has to be done to the computer?

You will need a new computer, your gauges wont work because the LS series computer yuou have in there now controlls your gauges, and the last year they had a 350 vortech was in 96 or 97. Get the motor, wiring harness, and computer from a donor vehicle.

Actualy, i think the 2001-2002 5.7 Full size vans used the new ls1 style computer just like the s10's.

Then you might be able to get away with repining your stock computer, and flashing parts of a full size van tune into the computer. If this works you should really only have to add a couple of injector wires.
