Alright, so I looked up my casting number on mortec.com and found out it was this:


10066038...350.....92....4...Goodwrench crate motor, 2-piece rear
seal, "Hecho en Mexico"

How would I go about finding more information about the motor? I would like to know Compression ratio, and possibly some cam specs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?


Also, the casting number on my heads is this

33417369...90-up...350..........Gen.I Goodwrench crate motor,"Hecho en Mexico", 76cc

76cc head alright for making power? (Until I can afford a decent set of heads

They're fine for what you're doing. Zero deck the block, mill the heads a few thou. and you'll end up around 9.5-10 to 1. That's great for a 383 street motor. With the 276 cam you'll be boiling the tires everywhere.

Ok, I took it to the machine shop today. Gonna bore, hone and tank it (all I can afford right now) then do the rest at a later date when funds permit

I hope you're referring to align boring the crank. That's the first operation to establish a centerline upon which the deck will be milled and the cylinders bored.
