Dead head unit

My Sony CDX-M610 kind of crapped out on me this weekend. The CD player part works fine but the volume on the FM needs to be turned ALL the way up before you can hear anything. the antennae is plugged in and everything, the unit is bad.

Now that I am looking for a new unit, I have a question concerning the DIN size. I have a '98. Is the din size 1.5 or is it double din?

Metra has a nice kit that has a compartment under the din size radio to stash some of your goods, if you are going with that size deck.
