Heard the call for more SyTy representation here, so thought I'd hang out for a while and see whats up. I'm on my 5th S-truck ('84 4X4 Blazer; '87 2WD, with TPI350 conversion; '92 Typhoon, '91 4X4 daily driver, now currently driving another '92 Typhoon). Needless to say, I'm completely incurable. Here's a few pics of my current ride:

Nice looking 'phoon. Dont see many with the air catch under the front bumper still. Are those coilovers in the back?

Hi, thanks. The IC scoop is made from a $9 storage bin (sytyarchives.com), and no coilovers in the rear, unfortunately. I do have a coilover conversion in front, but the rear has re-arched stock springs, 2" lowering blocks, and modified factory electronic leveling system, with air shocks running ~60psi.
Wheels are 17X9.5 front with 275-40 rubber, 17X11 rear with 315-35 rubber. I agree they would stick out an inch or so without the cladding.
Lots of nice truck here!
Nice.
What I wouldnt do for one of them
That air catcher looks badass man. wonder if something like that would feed some much needed cool air to the top of the engine compartment with a 383 in it?

Hard to say. My IAT temps are definitely lower with the scoop, so it undoubtedly moves more air thru the IC heat exchanger with the scoop... but, it might actually be getting LESS air thru the radiator...who knows.

Thanks again. I guess I should list some of the mods and stuff I've done. Many are Typhoon-specific, but might have some pics or how-to's that others might be able to use. Off the top of my head (most recent first):
- Battery relo to driver side, air filter to pass side (using all the stock SyTy parts)
- F-body brakes, front and rear (including parking brake)
- Coilover front susp conversion
- Subwoofer and amp in tailgate
- Steering column disassembly/wiper switch replacement
- Auxilliary IC heat exchangers using heater cores
- the afore-mentioned storage bin scoop
- modify Electronic Leveling to work with lowered ride height
- 3-guage pillar pod with 4 temp inputs to electric guage, 4 pressure inputs to electric guage, and separate mechanical boost guage, with LED bar indicator... never mind, here's a pic:

Sorry for the fuzzy pic. It's a standard Autometer sport comp electric guage. I added a switch to select between 4 senders, and the LED bar indicator to show what input is selected. Of course the LEDs are set up to be bright in the daytime (headlites off) and dim along with the guage and cluster lights at night.
