I need a carb for my 4.3L. I got an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and it recommends a 500-600cfm carb. I have about 5 rebuilt ones laying around in my garage. How do I determine what they are? Also my oil pan was cut from a 2wd for a 4x4 S Blazer. Do I have to get another oil pan for my 2wd now or will the 4x4 one work. And last thing...will 3.42s be good with a 4.3L & TH350?

1) Need the 4 digit numbers off the carb base. I'll use google or you can.

2) 4WD oil pan will work on 2WD, it'll just look funny.

3) 3.42's would be about perfect for a 3 speed. Not too much, not too little.

thanks alot sparky!...I may go outside and find those numbers and get back to you tonight or tomorrow. Will people be able to see the oil pan by looking down the inner fender? I'm on a really tight budget...can you have a budget if you're broke??

Run the oil pan, it ain't a big deal. Anybody crouches down to look at it and says something, kick 'em in the ass and send 'em to the store for a super-sized STFU.....
